Biographical data
He entered the Benedictine Order on August 6, 1931; he took his simple vows on June 27, 1933, and his solemn vows on June 27, 1936. He was ordained a priest on June 13, 1937. In 1939, he earned a doctorate in the humanities in Budapest. He spent three years in Brazil. After 1950, due to government restrictions on the size of the Benedictine Order, he could not be accommodated within the order’s ranks and therefore served in the Diocese of Győr. In 1980, he was granted the title of titular abbot of Lébény.
