Biographical data
He earned his teaching degree at the Budapest Teacher Training College. He entered the order on August 14, 1939. He completed his novitiate in Budapest, at Manréza. He studied philosophy in Košice and theology in Szeged. He was ordained a priest in Szeged on June 29, 1948. He was the last Jesuit to be ordained in Hungary before the change of regime. He left the country after 1949, then completed his third probationary year in Münster in 1951, and took his final vows on September 12, 1952. In 1971, he suffered a stroke, after which he was unable to speak properly.
