Biographical data
His mother’s name was Emília Móricz. He entered the order on August 14, 1943. From 1946 to 1948, he studied philosophy in Szeged. From 1949 to 1952, he studied theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. He was ordained a priest in Rome on September 7, 1951. He completed his third probationary year in Paray-Le-Monial, France. He took his final vows in Rome on August 15, 1960. He also earned his doctorate in theology there. He then worked at the order’s headquarters in Rome, where his responsibility was coordinating the Marian Congregations. From 1965 to 1968, he served as the superior general of the Hungarian Jesuits living abroad. He lived in the United States from 1966 until 1995, when he returned home and settled in Hódmezővásárhely.
