Biographical data
Elemér Orosz (in English: Elmer J. Orosz, OSFS) was a Roman Catholic religious priest and a member of the Order of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales (Oblati Sancti Francisci Salesii). He grew up in Toledo, Ohio; he attended Northeast Catholic High School for his high school education and Niagara University for his higher education. He was ordained a priest on June 9, 1956. He served primarily at Catholic high schools: From 1957 to 1963, he was a teacher at Bishop Duffy High School in Niagara Falls, New York, where he taught religion and civics and also held several community service roles at the school. In 1964, he served as a history teacher at Salesian High School in Detroit; that same year, he conducted historical research in Paris on a Fulbright scholarship. From 1969 to 1971, he was a teacher and later principal at DeSales High School in Lockport. He passed away in Wayne, Michigan, in September 1977.
