Biographical data

He came from a family of artisans; his mother was a member of the Franciscan Third Order. He graduated from high school in Gyöngyös. He entered the Franciscan Order on September 5, 1905. He took his perpetual vows on January 12, 1912, and was ordained a priest in Kalocsa on July 12 of the same year. From 1930 onward, he served as the American commissioner of the Capistran Province. His obituary noted that he also did much charitable work on behalf of Hungary.
