Biographical data
He is a second-generation Hungarian. His parents were András Kish and Mária Skarpua. He was born the youngest of ten children, along with his twin brother. As a monk, he took his final vows on July 5, 1956, in Cleveland, OH. He was the first American-born member of the St. Stephen Custody. He played a major role in the founding of the Youngstown monastery and in the maintenance of the entire estate. He negotiated the original purchase of the land and oversaw the construction of the shrine. He spoke both English and Hungarian fluently. After the dissolution of the Custody, he became a member of the Province of Our Lady in New York, NY.
