Biographical data

He joined the order on September 10, 1926. He studied philosophy in Csíksomlyó and theology in Vajdahunyad. He was ordained a priest by Bishop Károly Majláth on June 28, 1934. He earned a teaching degree from the University of Cluj. He was swept out of Hungary with the retreating troops of World War II and was eventually taken prisoner of war in France. He then joined the French province and served there until 1967, when his superiors sent him to the United States. In 1967, he joined the Custody of St. Stephen. In 1984, his health deteriorated, and he moved to Youngstown, OH, where he lived in the Franciscan friary until his death.
