Biographical data

His father was Greek Catholic, and his mother was Roman Catholic. He graduated from Holy Name College in Washington, D.C., and then earned a bachelor’s degree in Olean, NY, in 1951. He earned a master’s degree in Fairfield, CT, in 1954. He entered the Franciscan novitiate in Paterson, New Jersey. He was ordained a priest on May 5, 1954, in Washington, D.C. In 1963, he began to study the Greek Catholic liturgy more seriously and joined the Greek Catholic Diocese of Van Nuys, where he served as secretary to Bishop Thomas Dolinay, edited the diocesan newsletter, and appeared alongside Bishop Dolinay on EWTN as an expert on the Eastern Catholic Church. In 1986, he founded St. Anne’s Greek Catholic Church in San Luis Obispo, whose building was consecrated in 1991 and where he served until his death. Several recordings of his services have been preserved.
