Biographical data

He joined the order on August 15, 1933. He was ordained a priest by Bishop Dr. István Breyer on August 21, 1938. In 1940, he earned a degree in history and geography in Budapest. He left the country around 1950. According to records, during the escape, he was the first to climb over the barbed wire in order to draw attention to himself. He arrived in the United States in 1952 and became a U.S. citizen in 1959, at which time he changed his name to Rudnay.
He is one of the Premonstratensian monks who settled in California.
