Biographical data
Until 1954, his name was Károly Hrabovszki (listed as Nahm in other sources). In 1944, he joined the Dominican Order, where he was given the name Sebestyén. He completed his novitiate in Szombathely, and in the meantime, he passed his high school graduation exam in Sopron in 1945. He studied philosophy at the Order’s college. In 1948, he left the Order and became a seminarian in the Diocese of Veszprém. He was ordained a priest in Veszprém on March 26, 1950. In December 1956, he emigrated to Canada. A tree was planted in his memory in the Welland Memorial Forest.
