Biographical data

He was born in Canada and was a second-generation Hungarian. His parents, János Károly Oroskovits and Erzsébet Deák, arrived in Canada in 1904. He had four siblings. He completed his high school studies in Riverton and then became a student at St. Peter’s Seminary in London, ON. He was ordained a priest in 1938. He is buried at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Winnipeg, MB, Canada.
