Biographical data
His father was András Medveczky, a priest, and his mother was Emília Seregélly. His wife was Margit Balugyánszky, whom he married in Uzhhorod in August 1887; they had four children. He pursued his theological studies in Uzhhorod. On October 16, 1887, he was ordained a priest by János Pásztélyi Kovács, Bishop of Munkács. In 1900, an auction was initiated against him due to a debt of 600 koronas; at that time, he resigned from his position as parish priest and emigrated to the United States.
