Biographical data
His father was Antal Medveczky, a priest, and his mother was Aurélia Polyánszky. His wife was Jolán Sereghy; they had four children, one of whom, Dániel, became a priest. He pursued his theological studies in Uzhhorod. On December 16, 1900, he was ordained a priest by Bishop Gyula Firczák of Munkács. In 1904, he emigrated to the United States.
