Biographical data
His parents were Father Bazil Martyák and Katalin Janovits. He was the brother of Gábor and Viktor Martyák. He was a married pastor; he married Olga Janiczky on August 12, 1902, and they had six children. He completed his studies in Uzhhorod. He was ordained a priest on September 14, 1902. In 1907, he emigrated to the United States.
