Biographical data
His father was Mihály Lárj, and his mother was Mária Popovics. His wife was Erzsébet Mikuláninecz. He pursued his theological studies in Uzhhorod. He was ordained a priest on May 26, 1918, by Bishop Antal Papp of Munkács. He served as a member of the Holy See Council from 1932. In 1939, he left for Czechoslovakia. According to the Munkács volume, he left for Canada in 1945, but other sources suggest he settled in the United States instead; he arrived in New York, NY, on September 21, 1947. His places of service in the United States can only be inferred; he did not participate in Hungarian pastoral work. According to the census records, he lived in Riverhead, NY, USA, in 1948; in Ansonia, CT, USA (Church of St. Peter & St. Paul) from 1952 to 1958; and in Bridgeport, CT, prior to 1982.
