Biographical data
His first name was Ágoston, as recorded in the Miklósházy register. He entered the Salesian Order in 1940 and completed his novitiate in Mezőnyárád. He arrived in Cuba in 1948 and was ordained a priest there on December 4, 1949. The locals knew him as Fr. Ágoston. It was noted that he walked slowly, spent a great deal of time in the confessional, and regularly visited the sick. In 1957, he transferred to the Cistercian Order, but returned a few months later.
