Biographical data

He is a descendant of a family that emigrated to America early on. His parents were István Kotyuk and Gozella Zamba. His brother was József V. Kotyuk (1930–1993), whom some sources also list as a priest, but he was demonstrably not ordained. His ancestors built the Hungarian church in Erie, PA. He was ordained a priest on May 15, 1947. He retired in 1991.
