Biographical data
His parents were Titus Kossey, a Greek Catholic priest, and Anastasia Csopey. He was a married pastor; his wife was Magdaléna Stefán—or Éva, according to other sources—whom he married in 1917; they had three children. He pursued his theological studies in Uzhhorod. On May 20, 1917, he was ordained a priest by Bishop Antal Papp of Mukachevo. He emigrated to the United States in 1926.
