Biographical data
From 1948 to 1952, he was a student at the Pázmáneum in Vienna; he was ordained a priest in Vienna on June 29, 1952, but did not return to Hungary. In 1975, he was incardinated into the Archdiocese of Vienna, but he had been living in Brazil since 1972. In his mission area, he established more than twenty places of worship, founded a minor seminary, and established a religious order of nuns. He was committed to workers, the sick, and the needy; he was only willing to move into the parish house upon his bishop’s specific instruction, and until then lived in poorhouses and sacristies. From 1990, he suffered from cancer and underwent treatment in the United States, Italy, Austria, and later in Hungary, but to no avail. He essentially returned to Malhada de Pedras to die, where he was treated as a living saint. Before his death, he was awarded honorary citizenship. He was a devotee of traditionalist Christianity.
