Biographical data
His parents were Hubert Klenner and Mária Lichtenstein, and he had two siblings. He arrived in the United States on October 18, 1890, aboard the steamship Trave. He began his theological studies in Detroit and completed them in Canada. He was ordained a priest in Detroit on July 6, 1902. On May 8, 1952, he was appointed Papal Chamberlain. He was often ill.
