Biographical data
His parents were Iván Kaminszky and Anna Goics; he had six siblings. He is a married pastor; his wife is Ilona Riskó, and they have five children. He attended the State High School in Munkács, then the Catholic High School. He continued his theological studies in Uzhhorod. On March 27, 1881, he was ordained a priest by János Pásztélyi Kovács, Bishop of Munkács. He played a significant role in the resistance of American Greek Catholic priests against Bishop Ortinszky—who was of Galician origin and harbored animosity toward priests of Hungarian descent. After 1909, he moved back to Hungary. He retired in 1912.
