Biographical data
His father was Miklós Iváncsó, a priest, and his mother was Irén Dolinay. He married Erzsébet Kossey in Bedőháza on March 28, 1912. They had four children. He pursued his theological studies in Uzhhorod. He was ordained a priest by Bishop Demeter Radu of Oradea on April 7, 1912. He served in several Hungarian and Ruthenian Greek Catholic communities in the United States, including in Cleveland, Trenton, and Greek Catholic church centers in the Pittsburgh area. His name appears in the histories of St. John Byzantine Catholic Church in Cleveland, St. Nicholas Greek Catholic Church in Trenton, and St. Elias Byzantine Catholic Church in Munhall. In 1943, he served as a church censor for a Greek Catholic prayer book published in the Pittsburgh/Munhall area.
