Biographical data

His parents were named István and Ágnes. According to Hungarian state security records, he was born in 1918 in New Brunswick, NJ. He was ordained a priest in Trenton, NJ, in 1940. He served as a chaplain in the U.S. Navy with the rank of lieutenant between 1943 and 1954. He was stationed in the Asian region of the Pacific Ocean. He received several awards, including the Bronze Star. He loved to play golf.
