Biographical data
He attended high school at the Piarist and Benedictine schools in Budapest. He entered the order on September 8, 1911. He took his solemn vows on May 21, 1916, and was ordained a priest on May 27. In 1917, he earned a teaching degree in Hungarian and Latin from the University of Budapest. He arrived in the United States in 1946. His name is Holba in the MKL and Holbay in American journals.
