Biographical data
His parents were Antal Damjanovits, a priest, and Mária Gulovits; he had six siblings. He was an unmarried pastor. He completed his theological studies in Uzhhorod (1871–1875). He was ordained by Diocesan Bishop János Kovács of Pásztély on January 2, 1876. In 1912, he joined the Diocese of Hajdúdorog. He was an unmarried pastor. He served as a member of the Holy See from 1901, became a dean in 1913, a canon of the Hajdúdorog Cathedral Chapter from 1914, and later its provost from 1915.
