Teológiai tanulmányait Ungváron (1887–1891) folytatta. 1896. december 27-én szentelte pappá Firczák Gyula munkácsi püspök. Felesége: Kricsfalussy Natália (1877-1944), gyermekeik: Miklós (1897-1973), Jenő (1900-1962), Izabella (1902-1903), Magda (1904-1906), Irén (1914-1961), Gábor (1919-1997).
